Hana Hair Straightner Review

A while ago I was contacted by Misikko to review a Hana Pro Flat Iron. One of my goals this year has been to do my hair more often and less time throwing it into a bun while wet so this came at a great time.

First of all, I was super impressed when the box arrived. I expected a simple shipping box but when I opened it up there were all sort of additional goodies. The more I dug through the bubble wrap (which is seriously a gift in and of itself) the more mini-presents I found.

One thing about this straightener that I really like is that it offers different temperatures depending on your hair type. I have really fine hair so I used the lowest heat setting. It took me about 10 minutes to do my entire head (that is only one less snooze in the morning). My hair decided to be super statically while straightening so on a normal day it would be even smoother. I received a 1" flat iron which was perfect for my hair, I imagine if you had more hair than me you might want a larger size (which are also available).

The plates of this straightener are ceramic-tourmaline. The ceramic is important because it creates a glass-like surface so that the plates glide through your hair instead of pulling. In dry and damaged hair there are positive ions, the tourmaline emits negative ions which then neutralizes the hair. This seals the moisture into your hair and counteracts frizz.  The electrical cord also spins around so that it won't get in your way.

In the straightener box there was a packet with some tips for using the flat iron such as how to flip out the ends or even do a soft curl. I don't quite have the ability to do this yet but I plan to learn.

If you are looking for a new flat iron, I would recommend this one. I liked how it glided through my hair and it worked really fast.
