The way I'm testing how well it works is that I used baby oil on one leg and my normal shaving cream on the other. I also used a brand new razor to eliminate that variable. I'm testing with baby oil gel because I figured that it would be easier to apply and have it stay on. I shaved my legs on Monday with this method and today the verdict is in.
Baby Oil does in fact work; however, it was not a better performer than the shaving cream. I had my husband rub my legs to determine which was smoother and he couldn't tell. I used him since he didn't know which leg had been given which treatment so he would be the perfect blind tester.
I can see myself using the baby oil option during the winter. One thing I noticed was that the evening after I shaved, the leg that had baby oil felt more moisturized than the other. Since my skin dries out even more during the winter the baby oil could be a good option.
Have a beauty "trick" you want me to test out? Let me know and I will add it to the list!
Very interesting. I use my Bath & Body works soap to shave. It doesn't dry out my legs. I do always put lotion on after I shower. Thanks for trying this out. I love the Does It Work series.
ReplyDeleteIt might be different as well because you used the baby oil gel, as opposed to the oil. Maybe try using the actual oil as well and see if you find a difference.
