Does It Work - Apple Cider Vinegar to Remove Dead Skin

In continuation of the Does It Work series I'm diving into the wonderful world of Apple Cider Vinegar.

One of the supposed uses according to Pinterest is to remove dead skin from your feet.  Last summer after my foot had spent 6 weeks in a cast it was super dry and I knew that I needed to do something drastic - more than just lots of lotion.

I tried out a foot soak with Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with hot water and it worked like a charm! I will spare you photos of what it looks like because it is disgusting but it definitely removed dead skin.

To try it out yourself add one part Apple Cider Vinegar to three parts warm water (the warmer the better) into a large tupperware. It must be large enough for your foot to fit and you want the liquid to cover all of your foot. Let it soak for 15-20 minutes then remove and rinse with normal water. Dead skin will peel off as you dry your foot. I recommend this if you have dry skin, but if you are a bit squeamish you might want to double think it. :)

  1. apple cider vinegar is good for so many things! i read a reeeeally long list of things to use it for, but i do drink it mixed with water and honey before i do juice cleanses and it really does help settle my stomach from the fruit/veggie juice overload.
