Weekend Hapenings - Lots of Sewing

I wish weekends could be three days long. Brad and I had a busy weekend filled with errands, yard work (for Brad) and lots of sewing (for me). We even managed to get in and out of Ikea in 10 minutes! Saturday we went to Seastar in Bellevue; Brad was given a giftcard a few years ago so we finally decided to use it. I don't eat seafood so I had a steak but Brad was in seafood heaven!

I have been buying fabric remnants for the past few months and slowly going though them. (For remnant project ideas check out makeup remover pads, diaper strap & gift bags). This weekend I used a bunch of the fabric to make some baby blankets, burp cloths and diaper straps. I currently know 3 people having boys this summer, I need somebody to have a girl because I have a ton of girly fabric! Here are some of the items I made. Need a gift for a baby? All of these items are available in my etsy shop!

What did all of you do this weekend?

in the meanwhile I made my sister-in-law a floral yellow tablerunner for her window-less basement and finished my curtains! alas!

  2. These blankets are beyond adorable! :) My girlfriend JUST found out she is preggers with #3 so we don't know yet what she is having, but when she finds out I hope you still have some of these blankets! I definitely want to order one for her. :)
