Adventures in Fabric Remnants - Diaper Strap

Are you having a baby soon or know somebody who is and need a gift? This week's Adventure in Fabric Remnant is to great a diaper strap. This strap works well for keeping a couple diapers and a wipes container together in either the diaper bag or in your purse.

DIY Diaper Strap

Step 1:
Cut the fabric into a rectangle 4 inches wide by about 18-20 inches long. This length can be up to you.

Step 2:
Fold in half and pin.
Step 3:
Sew with 1/2" seam allowance. Leave an opening in the middle and make sure to back-stitch at that opening.  Clip the corners.
Step 4:
Fold inside out. Push out the corners.
Step 5:
Sew around the outside as close to the edge as possible. Use special care at the opening.
Step 6:
Fold roughly in thirds and lay velcro on top to get an idea of how much you want. I used a 4" strip.
Step 7:
Sew the velcro onto the strap.
Step 8:
Wrap up some diapers, burp cloths or whatever needs containing! (DIY burp cloths will be a future project!)

Have you ever made a baby gift? What type of things have you made? I hope you are all enjoying this series!
