A Look Inside My Purse

I’m a little late to the game but still wanted to join in with the fun blog party going on over at Lipgloss and Crayons. I had planned on writing this last night; however, I was working on some stuff for work, hanging out on USB.org learning all about the USB spec. If you want to know anything about USB let me know; it’s actually pretty interesting how your computer is able to both charge your device and transmit data at the same time. I can also tell you what the difference is between 1.0, 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0.

Anyways, onto the actual point of this post; my purse. I love purses and have quite a few. There are definitely some that I use more than others but this is mostly because I carry a bunch of stuff in my purse so the smaller ones can only be used on special occasions when I don’t need more than a lip gloss, phone, license and credit card.

Wallet – I got this one at the Coach outlet in Orlando on vacation. I have a few different wallets but I’m a lot lazier on swapping out wallets than purses.

Pen & Notebook – These are generally in here; the notebook has my to-do list in it and other random noes.

Reversible Coffee Cozy - I keep this in my purse for the times that I go to Starbucks. They are also for sale in my etsy shop.

Door Knobs – Long story but these were put in here about a year ago when I was making my Necklace holder. I was going to paint them and put them on but I ended up finding the ones I had already bought. I changed purses shortly after and they just never got taken out. They really need to come out because I keep grabbing them while trying to find my keys.

Keys – pretty standard, and necessary. The giant diamond ring was from my first trip to Vegas. My friend and I bought them as our souvenirs from the Bellagio (along with a lot of toiletry items that we took home with us from our room).

Sunglasses – Even in dreary Seattle sunglasses can be needed year round. Cloudy skies are actually quite bright when the sun shines through them.  I love the case that these sunglasses came in. It's a triangle that twists to open.

Business Cards – I carry my blog/etsy cards in my cute Kate Spade card holder but I also have some of Brad’s for if I meet somebody who could use his tech support.

Lip Gloss  – There are generally a few of these in my purse at any given time. I don’t actually put them on that often though.

Gum or Mints – These are similar to the lip gloss, they get thrown in here and then forgotten.

Not Pictured:

Cell Phone – This doesn’t stay in my purse really but it is always with me so I figured it counted.

Random Pieces of Paper – With giant purses comes the issue of room for lots of paper. Receipts, notes, groupons, etc it all finds its way into my purse and doesn’t find its way out until I either swap purses or get so fed up with it that I take it all out and throw it in the recycling.

Etsy Items to be mailed – common occurrence.

Now that my purse has been cleaned out for this post I have to decide if I want to stick with it or swap to a different one! I’m thinking some spring cheer might be in order; like my favorite hot pink Kate Spade one from this summer.

  4. Hahaha! I love the doorknobs! Forget random pieces of paper, everyone has those, but not everyone is awesome enough to have doorknobs! It's like a fairy tale, if ever you're out on a foggy night, and you come across a door with no doorknob, you'll be able to open with the handy ones in your purse and maybe find a new portal to Narnia. Ok, I know I have a REALLY overactive imagination, but it would be fun, wouldn't it? :-)
