Cara Box, Birchbox, Ipsy Oh My!

February was a busy month for my mailbox. For the past few months I have been getting both a Birchbox and Ipsy Bag (formerly My Glam). This past month I signed up for Cara Box through Wifessionals and am looking forward to doing it again!

For Cara Box, you are matched with two different people. One person you talk to and send them a box and the other person you get to know so they can send you a box. For this past month, we were matched with people in the same state as us if possible.  I was matched with Ashlea and Andrea. It was great getting to know the two of them. Andrea sent me a perfect package for me - everything was pink! I threw the gum in my purse and brought the kisses to work for mid afternoon snacks.

This month's Birchbox was definitely a disappointment. It is the type of box that causes people to quit and I would be consider quitting except that I pre-paid for a year of boxes. Pretty much none of the items in here work for me. The volumizing spray made my hair limp and  greasy so I won't be using it again. I don't paint my own nails so I won't use the nail polish. Headbands don't stay in my hear so I can't use the headband (also, I make my own FOE hair ties plus mine are better because I take the time to seal the ends so they won't fray). The perfume was OK, but not high on the list of ones I've gotten. I'll probably eat the chocolate at some point, but for now it just got thrown in the pantry.

My ipsy was pretty good; however it has had better months. I still need to try out some of the items. The mascara was nothing special - definitely have gotten some better ones in other boxes.  I like a couple colors in the eye shadow; however, the packaging could be improved. I haven't tried the lash card, primer and eye liner so I don't know how well they work. I probably won't use the lash card as I don't have problems putting on my mascara.
