Adventures in Fabric Remnants - Makeup Remover Pads

Today's Remnant Fabric Adventure uses two different types of fabric; Minky and Terry Cloth. I have found both of these in the remnant bin previously. There are many different colors available with both of these fabrics which could make some fun combinations.

To create these, cut 4" squares out of both minky and terry cloth. Pin them together with the minky right side down. Sew the edges making sure to leave a 1" hole to flip inside-out. Clip the corners and turn inside-out. To close the hole, use a ladder stitch so that it will be invisible when finished. There is a great tutorial located here on how to do the ladder stitch.

If you are interested in these items but don't want to do it yourself; I have them for sale at Simply {Darr}ling. There are more colors available than currently listed.

  1. What a great idea! I am majorly sick of buying makeup remover pads all the time - I never thought to DIY them!
