Valentine's Day Conversation Hearts Vase

All of my decorating energy goes into Christmas; however, I saw a pin with some conversation hearts in a large vase and decided that I wanted to recreate it, especially after seeing this post by Queen Bee Coupons (if you are looking for a couponing site to follow check her out!).

I already had the center vase, but I bought the outside vase this past weekend at JoAnn's (original cost was $9.99 but I used a 50% off coupon). The balls inside the smaller vase are these, they start as a small ball and then expand when water is added.  I opted to use them since I wouldn't be able to see the water level and they would help keep the water in the vase. They are also fun to play with so I like looking for reasons to use them.

I used about 2 - 2.5 pounds of conversation hearts to fill this vase.  Pixel decided that she wanted to check out what I was doing (and also probably debating how she could eat any of the items in the vase).

Now I just need to pick up some flowers to put in it! It does make a nice centerpiece even without flowers.

It is slightly bothering me that the white heart in the center is backwards.
Do you decorate for Valentine's Day? What sort of things do you decorate with?
