Christmas Card Display

I love displaying the Christmas cards that I receive each year. They are fun to look at and with amazing websites such as Shutterfly and Tiny Prints, professional cards can easily be customized.

Last year, I hung two pieces of ribbon down my pantry door and used ticky-tack to attach the cards/photos to the ribbon. I should have made the ribbon go all the way to the bottom of the door, but it ended up working out the way it was.

This year, I made a Christmas version of the Clothespin Picture Holder that Renee and I made back in March. I bought some Christmas ribbon to hang down the door, but I liked the look of the black and white with all red and green so I kept my "everyday" ribbon.  So far I've gotten three cards but I know that more will be coming so I also made a few extra clothespins in order to attach them down the ribbon when the wreath gets full.

Here is the how the full door looks with the ribbon going all the way down the door.  Side note: I LOVE my new doors.

I will post later about how I store these cards after Christmas.  Everybody puts so much time into these cards that I can't just recycle them; plus it is fun to look back at previous year's photos and cards. How do you display your Christmas cards?

  2. Funny you mention Displaying Christmas Cards, I just finsihed my project yesterday and today's post is exactly about that! Go take a look, it's the first of two things I did http://foxysdomesticside.blogspot.com/2012/12/clothes-pin-reindeer.html
But I love your idea! I was thinking of doing something similar next year. When we actually have stockings to hang from the mantel. I actually scrapbook all of our holiday cards that we get from people. Love to look back at other Christmas Cards. We actually used the phrase for our Christmas card this year from a Christmas card we got last year. haha.
