Happiness in Life

Earlier this evening I had written a "vent post".  I needed to vent about my frustrations of being injured and having to rely on other people to do just about anything.  At this point, I decided that just writing it was enough and it doesn't need to be actually posted.  Instead, I'm going to post things that make me happy.

Saturday, my friends Brittnee and Michelle took me up to Bellevue for lunch and a pedicure; they have been wonderful at getting me out of the house.  I was excited when my doctor cleared me to get a pedicure because my feet desperately needed it.  The skin on my right foot is super dry and cracked so if you have any tips on healing it please send them my way! Anyways, the happy part is the great time with friends and the hot pink nail polish. :)

I was excited to find some cute new Sharpie Pens on Saturday at Target. I have the original colors from when they first came out, but the hot pink and turquoise in this pack make me especially happy.  The only thing that would make them better is if they were click-top.  The book that I have in this picture was a planner that I made the night before I got injured.  I've been using it more for a blog planner and to-do list rather than an actual planner since I have all my appointments on a Google Calendar so that Brad can also see what I have.

We have a giant fig tree in our front yard and the fruit is just about ready to be picked.  Last year, we made jam with all the figs and I was looking for something different to do with them this year.  I found this book on Amazon and have a couple recipes picked out that I'm going to try over the next few weeks.  Amazon Prime makes me happy, I ordered it about 10 AM this morning and for $4 I was able to have it delivered today, it showed up about 3 this afternoon.  Stay tuned for some posts on these attempted recipes!

My favorite purchase from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is my new purse.  As you can see in previous posts (here and here) I have a thing for purses. I hadn't bought one for quite a while and this one is exactly me so I took the plunge and ordered it.  I'm so happy with it (the inside even has polka dots!)
