Tree Trimming on a Beautiful February Weekend

One of the things I love about our house is the view of the Olympic Mountains and watching planes take-off/land at Seatac.  Our backyard is surrounded by Cypress Evergreen trees which grow like crazy and block this wonderful view.  Since we had a gorgeous sunny Saturday, Brad & I worked to restore this view (Brad did most of the work, I just told him how much to cut off and then pulled the branches to the side yard).

The dogs loved that we were outside.  They ran around most of the morning and then sunbathed all afternoon.

I'm loving the fact that I can now see all the mountains again from the downstairs.

About 1/3 of the trees that we took down
This is the second time that we have topped the trees since moving in.  We are hoping that with how much we took off this time it will last a couple of years before we have to do it again.
