Over the past few months I've discovered two great websites which have helped me get paid to shop online :) These sites are Swagbucks and Ebates. They work different ways, but both essentially give you free money.
Swagbucks takes the most work between the two. To earn "bucks" you do things such as use the toolbar, take surveys or find codes. There are also games and mini commercials that you can watch; however, I haven't tried those methods yet to earn any bucks. Pretty much all I did was do some web searches through their website, take some surveys in the evening and print coupons from their site to use while out shopping. So far I've gotten about $40 in Amazon gift cards. There are multiple items to redeem for but the $5 Amazon gift cards give the best return.
Ebates simply gives you a certain percentage of your purchase back as a check once a quarter. Since signing up this summer I've gotten about $60 back. (If Amazon.com was included in this deal I would love it even more) The percentages vary depending on the site, I would say that they average around 3-4% but its better than nothing! Each day they have "daily double", which is where the percentage for the particular site is doubled for 24 hours. Thanksgiving and Black Friday were great days for cash back. Ebates had every site with double cash back on Black Friday, fortunately for us west-coasters these sites flipped over to their Black Friday deals at midnight eastern. So instead of going shopping at the crack of dawn, I bought a few things at 9PM before heading to bed.
If you want to know anymore about these programs feel free to talk with me and I'll let you know what I think about them. If you are ready to sign up, you can find the links at the top of this post as well as along the side bar next to my blog button.
