First Silhouette Cameo Project

The Silhouette Cameo is an amazing little machine.  It can cut paper, vinyl, heat transfer material, fabric and so much more.  Mine arrived last Friday and today I finished my first project!  I have a Cricut machine but I think that the Cameo will get used A LOT more.  The benefit to the Cameo is that you can design everything on your computer and then send it to the machine to cut via USB.  The Cricut requires you to purchase cartridges with a bunch of designs around one general theme.  The online store of the Cameo lets you buy individual files; plus you can make your own or find cut files online.  One of my favorite features is that you can cut any font that is already on your computer.

My machine arrived last Friday and I've been contemplating what projects to do with it.  I have a bunch of ideas but for the most part I had just been playing around with the software to figure out what all it could do.

Today I completed my first project; I forget where I had first seen this idea but I thought it would be easy to do and add something to the doorway.  Below is the finished project, I see more vinyl designs in my future, next I'm thinking something for the laundry room.
